Summit County area Relay For Life events are participating in a Queen of Hearts drawing. Drawings will take place each week until the Queen of Hearts is drawn.
The game works by individuals purchasing tickets which are entered into a random drawing. Write your name and phone number legibly on the ticket along with the card number that you would like that is left from the remaining pool of numbers.
If your name is selected during the drawing, the card number on your ticket will be unsealed and turned over on the board. If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, the winner will receive 50 percent of the jackpot and 50 percent will go to The American Cancer Society. The tickets are destroyed each week after the drawing, but the jackpot continues to accumulate until a winner is drawn.
Participants must be 18 years old. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and may be purchased until 6 p.m. the day of the drawing at Danny Boy's on the historic Tallmadge Circle.
There is no limit on the number of tickets purchased. Drawings will be at 6:30 p.m. each Sunday until the Queen of Hearts is drawn. Winners are responsible for any taxes on winnings over $600.
