Akron, OH – The GCEF Scholarship Fund of Akron Community Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied students who have positively impacted the LGBT community.

Established by the Gay Community Endowment Fund, the GCEF Scholarship Fund awards academic scholarships to LGBT and allied students who live or study in Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties. Priority is given to students who have participated in organizations or initiatives that make a positive difference in the LGBT community.

Scholarship applications are due by Sunday, April 30. A link to the online application and instructions for applying are available at www.akroncf.org/applyGCEFscholarship.
