Queen of Hearts drawing to benefit Relay For Life

Summit County area Relay For Life events are participating in a Queen of Hearts drawing. Drawings will be held each week beginning on March 5 until the Queen of Hearts is drawn. The game works by individuals purchasing tickets which are entered into a random drawing. Those wishing to participate are asked to write their name and phone number legibly on the ticket along with the card number they selected from what is left from the remaining pool of numbers. When a name is selected during the drawing, the card number on that person's ticket will be unsealed and turned over on the board.

If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, the winner will receive 50 percent of the jackpot and 50 percent will go to the American Cancer Society. The tickets are destroyed each week after the drawing, but the jackpot continues to accumulate until a winner is drawn. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and may be purchased until 6 p.m. the day of the drawing at Danny Boys, 10 Tallmadge Circle. There is no limit on the number of tickets purchased. Drawings will be held at 6:30 p.m. each Sunday until the Queen of Hearts is drawn. Contact Jared Brauer with any questions at jared.brauer@cancer.org.
