Bob Belvedere of Cuyahoga Falls won the gold medal in the Level 2 Men's Free Skating competition in the Special Olympics at the Kent State Ice Rink Feb. 2. He also won the Crystal Star Barb Fowler Award for ice skating at the Summit County Special Olympics Sports Banquet at Guy's Party Center Nov. 16, 2016.
Belvedere, who has autism, also enjoys swimming, water skiing, bowling, fishing, camping, jigsaw puzzles, word search and more.
Belvedere works at Pro-Pak in Cuyahoga Falls and volunteers at Holy Family in Stow for the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry. He is a 4th Degree Knight.
Belvedere has been ice skating in the Special Olympics for more than 25 years and has won more than 25 medals, mostly gold.
