The Lighting Committee of Hudson Community Service Association (HCSA) is already meeting monthly, despite the fact that Hudson's holiday lighting season is nine months away. This group of intrepid volunteers works with Hudson Public Power to decorate our downtown area. The Lighting Committee raises money each year to purchase additional lights and strings for the trees (which keep growing), maintain and replace when necessary the four wreaths on the Clocktower, and purchase roping for the Gazebo and all the lightposts. In addition to annual expenses, 2017 is the year when the Clocktower wreaths need to be replaced, so fundraising efforts have begun. While they will intensify in the Fall, donations may be made year-round to HCSA/Lighting Fund, PO Box 284, Hudson, OH 44236. Follow us on Facebook for updates on our fall fundraising plans.
Volunteer teams at Hudson Community Service Association also manage and fund the Hudson Food Pantry and Helping Hands. For more information about all of HCSA's efforts, visit www.hudsoncommunityservice.org.
