Silver Lake mayor to give annual address March 6

Silver Lake Mayor Bernie Hovey will deliver his State of the Village address on March 6 at the Village Council meeting at 7 p.m. in Village Hall, 2961 Kent Road.

Mayor's First Tuesday Program is March 7

Mayor Don Walters would like to invite citizens to meet with him one-on-one to present any concerns or ideas for making Cuyahoga Falls a better place to live.

Meetings are by appointment only. The next First Tuesday program will take place March 7, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Call 330-971-8200 to schedule a 30-minute appointment.

City Council OKs two projects,parking prohibition

During its Feb. 27 meeting, Cuyahoga Falls City Council voted to authorize:

The Parks and Recreation Board to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the replacement of the restroom building in Water Works Park;

The Director of Public Service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for replacement of the sanitary sewer and concrete pavement on 18th Street, from Ohio Avenue to Phelps Avenue; and

The Law Department to amend the traffic control file prohibiting parking from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between 2540 and 2620 Valley View Drive, the dead end of the street.
