Parks and Recreation CFABA Registration

The Cuyahoga Falls Amateur Baseball Association, sponsored by the Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department, will host a registration for the baseball program March 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave.

This baseball program is designed so that everyone who registers is placed on a team and will play in every game. Uniforms, equipment, fields and coaches are provided. Each player must provide his glove and all-purpose shoes. The association offers a T Ball Program for 5 and 6 year olds and a Coach Pitch League for players 7 to 8 years of age. There is different registration fees for players from ages 6 - 12 years, players from ages 13 - 14 and players ages 15-18.

To register, the player must have a parent to sign the permission form, proof of his date of birth and registration fee. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Office at 330-971-8225.

Adult Slo-pitch registration

The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for the Adult Slo Pitch Softball Leagues. All the leagues will be played at the Water Works Adult Softball Complex and are using USSSA umpires. The following leagues are available:

Monday Coed League; Tuesday Coed Recreational League; Wednesday Coed Recreational League; Friday Coed Recreational League; Monday Men's Church League; Tuesday Men's League; Thursday Men's Double Header League; and Friday Men's Double Header League.

All leagues are player age 18 and older. All teams are required to pay the umpires $10 per game at the field prior to each game.

Kids/Teen Spring Garage Sale

Here is a chance to get in on a sale. While the weather is still chilly outside, let the kids clean out their rooms and toys. Get rid of that stuff the kids don't use anymore. Join the Spring Kids'Teen Garage Sale on March 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center. Only youth and teens allowed to sell (with the help of adults). All items must be youth oriented. Sellers will be allowed to set up beginning at 7 a.m. that day. There is a small fee for space(table provided) and pre-registration is required.

Travel Club

Enjoy meeting new people and visiting new places with a group? Falls Travel Club is open for all. Woodshop Orientation

Winter is just about over and so is your to do list. You may need to fix and maybe need some assistance by learning some woodworking skills. Why not attend a Woodshop Orientation Class at Quirk Cultural Center? The next evening class is March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. A participant will learn the usage and safety of each machine which includes saws, routers, and a press. There is a small class fee paid the night of class. After the orientation class is completed you may work independently in the workshop by purchasing a user card and is good for five visits. Or you can sign up for a three-week class on Wednesdays scheduled with the instructor. Supplies are student's responsibility according to project.
