Police Reports is a sampling of incidents responded to by the Aurora Police Department. It is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Domestic dispute: An Aurora woman was charged with domestic violence Feb. 9 on Brandon Circle after a verbal dispute with her adult daughter turned physical. She was booked at the station and taken to the Portage County Jail. No medical attention was required by the victim.

Warrant pickup: A Streetsboro man was transferred Feb. 8 from Summit County custody to Aurora on a warrant for felony theft. He was booked at the station and taken to the Portage County Jail.

Argument: A Walton Hills man reported Feb. 12 that he and his ex-wife got into a verbal argument during a child custody exchange at a Bainbridge shopping center. The man was advised the location was not in Aurora PD's jurisdiction since the dispute occurred in Bainbridge.

Theft: A retail business on South Chillicothe Road reported Feb. 13 that a female returned alleged stolen merchandise to the store and received a credit totaling $139.


Suspended license: During a traffic stop Feb. 8 at 4:25 p.m. on South Chillicothe Road for a reg

istration check, police discovered the driver was under a 12-point suspension and license forfeiture suspension. The Barberton woman was cited for driving under suspension, her vehicle was towed and the license plates were confiscated.

DUI citation: During a traffic stop for speeding Feb. 12 at 3:05 a.m. on North Aurora Road, aSolon man failed field sobriety tests and was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence. He blew a breath sample of .079 and later bonded out.

Injured driver: A Kent woman went off Aurora-Hudson Road on Feb. 12 at 3:55 p.m. while she was arguing with her boyfriend on the phone and the vehicle struck a guardrail. A piece of the guardrail went through the windshiled. The woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment by Aurora paramedics.

Leaving the scene: An Aurora man was cited for leaving the scene of an accident Feb. 11 at 2:05 p.m. Police said a Streetsboro man was exiting Aurora Farms Premium Outlets onto Route 43 when the northbound Aurora man went through a red light, causing a collision. The Aurora man then pulled into the shopping center's lot and left the scene. He was found later at his home.
