On Feb. 3, Merryweather Real Estate withdrew its application for conditional zoning at 338 W. Howe Road, which it was seeking to pave the way for the development of a 54-unit apartment complex.

Tallmadge Mayor Dave Kline reports the city’s Planning and Zoning Department received an official withdrawal letter from the applicant, Tim Merryweather of Merryweather Real Estate, the day after residents packed a Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to voice opposition to the proposal. Formal withdrawal of the proposal will be requested at the Tallmadge City Council meeting this Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m.
