HUDSON -- A 32-year-old driver from Stow is dead after his car collided with a car driven by a 25-year-old Stow woman in the early morning hours of Feb. 2 on Seasons Road.

City officials had not released the names of the victims by press time and few other details in the head-on collision, which happened around 4:50 a.m. are known.

"Initial observations indicate a westbound vehicle went left of center and hit an eastbound vehicle head on," according to Hudson Communications Manager Jody Roberts.

The 32-year-old man was driving the westbound vehicle.

The man was dead on the scene, according to Roberts.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The Summit County Metro Crash Team investigated the collision, Roberts said.

Seasons Road, just east of the Route 8 ramp, was closed for more than three hours due to the accident.

Seasons Road was reopened at 8:18 a.m., according to the city.
