New lecture program for adults at Case-Barlow Farm

Hudson Community Education and Recreation in partnership with Case-Barlow Farm is hosting a new lecture program for adults. Joseph Kennedy, Sr.: The Patriarch of Patriarchs will be presented by noted lecturer Susan Cannavino on Feb. 9 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Case-Barlow Farm.

The lecture and program will include a fascinating look at Joe and Rose Kennedy and how their personal values affected their children. Participants will discover the triumphs and tragedies of the often overlooked Kennedy daughters and sons.

A discussion and refreshments will follow the program.

Case-Barlow Farm is located at 1931 Barlow Road in Hudson. It is a regional model of historic preservation and adaptive reuse. HCER and Case-Barlow Farm have partnered for this lecture series to engage the community in an authentic interactive experience, offering a perspective of events, issues, and people of the Western Reserve from the past to the present. Currently featured in the Barlow home are the fashion illustrations of Hudson resident Corrine George. Many of the pieces on display are from her 18 years as head fashion artist at the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Registration for the Joseph Kennedy lecture is limited. Visit www.hudson.k12.oh.us/hcer for pricing and to register. Proceeds from event will be used for restoration and future programs.
