"Aladdin JR." soars onto the stage at Lakeview Intermediate School March 10 at 7 p.m. and March 11 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Under the direction of Chad C. Kendall and assisted by Meagan Longanecker, the students will bring a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love.
Based on the iconic animated film, with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, Disney's "Aladdin JR." is sure to send audiences soaring on a flying carpet ride filled with romance and adventure. When the street urchin, Aladdin (Decker Kress), vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine (Raina Malone), he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago (Penelope Covey), Jafar (Matt Kusic), the Genie (Molly Dickerson), and more are here to take the audience through the city of Agrabah.
Presale tickets will go on sale Feb. 6 through Feb. 10 from 3 to 6 p.m. and will only be sold at Lakeview during after-school rehearsals in the music hallway. Tickets will also be sold at the door. Dress Circle seats will be sold at $10, Reserved seats are $7, and General Admission seats will be $5. Family and friends will have the opportunity to purchase flower grams at the door for $1. These will be sent back to the cast and crew, wishing them the best of luck, before the show.
