The best pizza in Stow and Munroe Falls will be all under one roof for the first Pizza Palooza at the Stow- Munroe Falls High School Commons on Jan. 29 from noon to 3 p.m.

Admission is free for pizza lovers to sample pizza pies from 12 area pizza purveyors for only a $1 a slice, sold in packs of 10 tasting tickets.

This family friendly event is a fundraiser to benefit student programs in the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District and is presented by The Stow Munroe Falls Community Foundation.

Pizza restaurants that will be represented Jan. 29 are: Altieri's Pizza, Domino's, Papa John's, Romeo's, Zeppe's Bistro, Pizza Hut, Pony Express, East of Chicago, Teresa's, Bellacino's, Jet's and Dontino's Pizza. Pizza lovers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite "Peoples Choice" and "Kids Choice" Pizzas with the pizza makers to be awarded an engraved pizza paddle for them to display. There will also be a "Judges" Category to be awarded.

Pizza will be the focus of the day, but there will also be doughnuts, popcorn, mini cupcakes and ice cream pizza to sample that day -- all for $1 per taste.

Families with children can enjoy the four inflatables and Ga Ga Ball in the gym along with face painting and a balloon artist activities that are all $1 to experience.

Attendees can also purchase raffle and 50/50 tickets with music provided by a DJ service.

The Stow-Munroe Falls Community Foundation(SMFCF) has been around since 1998, with a goal to accumulate, manage, and responsibly allocate resources to enhance the quality of life for the benefit of the communities and their expectations that the foundation operates in a fair and responsible manner.
