Northampton Historical Society will meet Jan. 23 at new location

The Northampton Historical Society (NHS) will begin its 2017 program series at a new location.

The new location will be the Woodridge Middle School Library at 4451 Quick Road; (P.O.mailing address is) Peninsula,Ohio 44264. The Woodridge Middle School is located across from the high school on Quick Road.

The school district is allowing the NHS to use the facility for free. At the NHS Annual meeting last November, the society made the change to enable members to use an ADA facility (rent free) that would still be nearby, especially those living in the old township area. Plus the possible ability to gain new members.

The Northampton Historical School is Going Back to School for 2017. The Society will be meeting at the new location on the fourth Monday, Jan. 23. Doors will be open at the school from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The library is located in the center of the building with a rest room nearby. The program will start at 6:30 p.m.

Falls Republicans meet Jan. 26

Children's concert at church Feb. 3

Summit Developmental Disabilities Board, in partnership with Northampton Christian Preschool, presents Jim Gill's Nationwide Campaign for Play Tour. This family-friendly live concert is perfect for young children of all abilities.

The concert will take place Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at Northampton United Methodist Church, 852 W. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls. The event is free and open to the public.

Buy, sell at stampshow Feb. 12

The Hudson Stamp Show will be Feb. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarion Inn, 6625 Dean Memorial Parkway in Hudson.

Five dealers buying and selling U.S. and foreign postage stamps, covers, some postcards and stamp supplies.

Group for widows, widowers meets for meals

A New Beginning, a social group for widows and widowers (all ages), will meet for breakfast and conversation every Saturday at 9 a.m. at Thano's Restaurant, 71 - 5th St., SE., Barberton.
