John Wallette is the newest Eagle Scout in Aurora Boy Scout Troop 265. He began in the Scouting program in third grade, and is a 2016 graduate of Aurora High and is attending the University of Akron.

Wallette thanks everyone who supported his along the trail to Eagle, including the adults in the Scouting program who donated time and talents for Pinewood Derbys, Blue and Gold banquets, campouts, merit badge challenges and summer camp.

He participated in many Scout activities, including selling popcorn, candy bars and Christmas trees, serving at pancake breakfasts, ringing the Salvation Army bell and collecting food.

For his Eagle Scout project, Wallette installed an illuminated sign in front of the Masonic Temple on West Pioneer Trail. He received help from fellow Scouts, friends and family members.
