Village will pick up Christmas trees through Jan. 20

The Silver Lake Service Department will be picking up Christmas trees for recycling through Jan. 20, according to Mark Lipan, the village's service director. All decorations, tree stands and plastic bags must be removed or trees will not be picked up as these items damage the chipper. Artificial trees will not be picked up.

State Rep. to have office hours

State Rep. Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson) will have district office hours on Jan. 17 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, Conference Room, 3512 Darrow Road, Stow. No appointment is necessary for these office hours and everyone is encouraged to participate.

Silver Lake Village Councilmeeting canceled

The Silver Lake Village Council meeting slated for Jan. 17 has been canceled, according to a notice issued by Village Clerk-Treasurer Sean Housley. The meeting has been canceled "due to some expected absences and a light agenda," Housley said. The next meeting will take place on Feb. 6.
