The Portage County Coroner's Office on Monday identified two men who were shot and killed early Saturday morning during an incident in a Ravenna apartment.

Brian K. Brack, 24, of Canton, and Austin J. Tiller, 20, of Cuyahoga Falls, died after shots were fired in an apartment at 731 Woodgate Blvd., according to Michael Halas, chief investigator with the coroner's office.

Both suffered gunshot wounds to their chests and were pronounced dead at the scene, he said. A female victim also suffered a gunshot wound, which Ravenna police described as not life-threatening.

The families of the slain men were notified over the weekend and autopsies were conducted Monday by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, Halas said. Final autopsy reports are pending, he added.

Ravenna police said Saturday officers responded at approximately 4:35 a.m. that day to reports of a shooting at the Woodgate North Apartments, located off North Freedom Street on the city's east side.

Police said one person was detained at the scene, and officers were interviewing witnesses. An argument between several people in the apartment may have preceded the shooting, police said.

Messages seeking additional comment on developments in the case were left Sunday and Monday for Ravenna police. The Portage County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the coroner's office are assisting in the investigation.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Ravenna Police Department at 330-296-6486.
