An Akron man has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of two people at a Ravenna apartment complex early Saturday morning.
One of the victims was Austin J. Tiller, 20, of Cuyahoga Falls, a 2014 graduate of Stow-Munroe Falls High School.
Javon M. Thomas, 26, has been charged with murder and is being held in the Portage County jail on a $1 million bond. Additional charges may be filed, police said.
According to Ravenna police, officers responded at about 4:35 a.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting at the Woodgate North Apartments, located off North Freedom Street on the city's east side. Destany Dixon of Ravenna, 21, also was shot, but suffered non-life threatening wounds, police said.
