Dog licenses for 2017 are on sale. Dogs can be traced to their homes via the County website at http://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net/index.php/dog-licensing/dog-search.

The cost for a year license is $18, a three-year license is $54 and a permanent license is $180.

Dog owners may purchase licenses at Northfield License Bureau, 10333 Northfield Road in Summit Plaza, Northfield Village (330-468-1155), or at The Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Road in Twinsburg (330-487-0333).

Citizens who own, keep or harbor a dog more than three months of age must purchase a license. License renewal applications will be mailed. Citizens who fail to meet the Jan. 31 deadline will be required to pay an $18 late fee.
