Tallmadge Cutting and Styling owner Tommy Uplinger is ringing the bell and collecting money for the Salvation Army this holiday season. "When I was a child, our family fell on some hard times, and the Salvation Army gave us kids several Christmases," Uplinger recalls. "I know for a fact they give back to the community, being one of the kids on the receiving end." Uplinger says he's very close to the officers of the Citadel on Maple Street, adding, "and now that I am a business owner, I would like to give back. I have a kettle at my shop for anyone who wants to donate and will accept donations through the month of December. Uplinger says he will also donate a percentage of his sales to the organization. "A special 'thanks,' in advance, from me, the Salvation Army and the families our generosity has helped. From me to you, have a wonderful holiday season and a very, Merry Christmas," says Uplinger. Tallmadge Cutting and Styling is located at 857 Southeast Ave.
