A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon has claimed the life of one person, according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police official.

Cuyahoga Falls Police Lt. Chad Johnson said the crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Munroe Falls Avenue and Winter Parkway.That section of road was closed to traffic for about five hours. Munroe Falls Police assisted in detouring traffic during the investigation.

Mary Killian, 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, the driver of the first vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:05 p.m., according to Gary Guenther, chief investigator for the Summity County Medical Examiner.

Johnson said the Summit County Metro Crash Team is investigating the crash.
