Donate Box Tops to Kimpton

To help provide a fun and education experience to the students in all science classes, Kimpton Middle School science teachers are asking readers to clip and send the Box Tops for Education found on many grocery items, from toilet paper to frozen pancakes.

Kimpton receives 10 cents for each of those Box Tops and more money on the Bonus Box Tops.

The seventh- and eighth-grade students benefitted from an extra $2,500 thanks to Box Tops and Recycling last year. Box tops can be mailed to Kimpton Middle School, Attn: Box Tops Coordinator, 380 N. River Road, Munroe Falls 44262.

Another way to assist the teachers is by dropping off all recyclable paper/junk mail in the paper retriever dumpsters in Kimpton's front parking lot. The school is paid by the pound for the donations.

All money received from Box Tops from Education and Abitibi Paper Retriever is used exclusively to provide science students with materials to use on projects and labs beyond that can be purchased with science fees.

Ohio PTA to have statewide Book Fair

The Ohio PTA will host an online book fair to Nov. 15 to raise funds for its scholarship fund. The book fair can be accessed at

The Ohio PTA will earn 30 percent of every purchase made through this link. Books will ship directly to customers. There are more than 200,000 juvenile titles available. Shoppers can select from a range of shipping options to ensure books arrive in time for the holidays.

Funds will be used to grant $500 scholarships to Ohio senior students graduating and enrolling in college/university or technical programs.

"We're thrilled to carry out this innovative fundraiser for Ohio students," said Sheila Ragland, Ohio PTA president. "We invite Ohioans to do their holiday book shopping through the book fair. Every purchase made will be a gift to Ohio students."

How to register for school

Parents/guardians may begin the enrollment process by visiting the district's website, selecting the Parent and Enrollment tabs. The website will outline the three-step process for enrollment:

Step 1: Schedule a time to register your child(ren) using the online calendar called Sign Up Genius located at the top of the Enrollment page on the website, or phone the Board of Education Registrar at 330-689-5445.

Step 2: Enter your child(ren)'s enrollment information into Job Router, the District's online enrollment program.

Step 3: Gather necessary documents required for student enrollment and bring them with you to your scheduled appointment. Details regarding required documents may be found on the website.
