The Don Sitts Riverfront Car Cruise will relocate one block to the south to St. Joseph School for the 2017 season. The Riverfront Cruise is relocating to accommodate construction that will be underway next summer as the city works to open the Front Street pedestrian mall to vehicular traffic. The Riverfront Car Cruise will run from Memorial Day to Labor Day. St. Joseph School is located at 1761 Second St. In addition to the large lot at the school, there is an additional city-owned parking lot directly across from the Sheraton Hotel that can accommodate the classic cars.

"I am extremely proud of the job that Don Sitts does with the Riverfront Car Cruise and am thrilled to have this great location adjacent to our downtown," stated Mayor Don Walters. "The Car Cruise is a long standing tradition in Cuyahoga Falls, and I am grateful that we can partner with St. Joseph Parish and Father Jared Orndorff so that residents and visitors may continue to enjoy this beloved community event in a centralized, convenient location."

"The city and Father Jared at St. Joseph's have been wonderful to work with and have gone above and beyond as we make this transition from the riverfront," said Sitts. "Cuyahoga Falls is committed to us, and we are committed to Cuyahoga Falls and are looking forward to a successful season in our new location."

In 2006, Don Sitts Auto Sales Inc took over production of the Riverfront Cruise In. Initially, 30 to 40 cars were showcased, but the event has grown to average 250 to 300 cars every Monday night on the Riverfront.
