Users of the popular Bike & Hike Trail managed by Summit Metro Parks have another place to begin and end their walks, runs or bike rides.

The park district has opened a new trailhead at 5090 Young Road, Stow, north of Call Road. A restroom will be constructed there before year's end, and a drinking fountain is expected to be in service next spring. The lot has 29 parking spaces.

The 34-mile Bike & Hike Trail travels southeast from Sagamore Hills to Munroe Falls and Stow. It saw 252,000 users in 2015.

The Young Road lot is the Bike & Hike Trail's 11th trailhead.
