Hudson -- Folks looking to perk up a smile, get a set of new braces for the kids or just a cleaning or checkup now have a new option.

The Van Hala Dental Group opened earlier this year at 46 Ravenna St. in Suite A6. The group is one of the tenants of the Evaporator Works.

The group is led by Dr. Brent Van Hala, of Hudson, who also has an office in North Canton.

Van Hala and his wife, Amy, have four children ages 12, 9, 8 and 4.

"Hudson is a unique place with extremely talented citizens and residents who are committed to making Northeast Ohio a great place to live," Van Hala said. "I'm extremely happy to work in the same community within which I live to be able to see and serve friends and meet new people."

Van Hala moved into a space which was previously occupied by Dr. Jeff McKinley, a dentist who was planning to retire.

"Dr. McKinley has had an excellent reputation and now, seeing his work, was a uniquely talented and highly competent clinician. I approached Dr. McKinley and informed him of my desire to practice in Hudson late last year," Van Hala said. "We agreed to transition terms and in March, we opened our doors after a brief renovation and installation of state-of-the-art equipment."

The Hudson office has a staff of four.

"It is a highly talented group of professionals we've assembled and so far, we've been warmly received by both Dr. McKinley's former patients and those new to our practice," Van Hala added.

Van Hala also works in Canton with a staff of 11, including his father, who is also a dentist.

The office is open Monday from 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed Tuesday and Thursday.

"The Van Hala Dental Group is designed to be different. We place a high priority on patient comfort, personalized service and advanced state-of-the-art care," he said. "Our practice is distinguished by a genuinely caring staff and a warm, welcoming environment to help our patients achieve a healthy, natural and beautiful smile."

The office also provides little extras like an espresso machine, individual music selections and heated, massaging treatment chairs enable patients to relax during their visit.

"We offer a purposeful approach, treating each person with the utmost respect, efficiency of care and quality service," he added. "Our practice also offers multiple specialty services in one location. We focus on promoting whole body health, cosmetic dentistry and implants, while using organic, natural and biologic materials."
