The city is seeking your input on the future development of Stow.

The community is invited to participate in a community meeting/open house regarding the city's Comprehensive Plan on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. in Stow City Council Chambers in City Hall.

The city is undertaking an update of the city's Comprehensive Plan, which was last updated in 2001. A Comprehensive Plan is a guideline for the long range development of the city which establishes community goals and policies for land use and development within the city of Stow, and assists the administration, planning commission and City Council when making decisions regarding zoning, development, capital improvements or other service issues. A Comprehensive Plan includes broad land use policies, specific land use recommendations, and implementation or "action" recommendations.

The goal of this meeting is to: (1) present the analysis performed to date regarding demographic & development trends for Stow and the region; existing land use policies and factors to consider for future land use policies; and (2) gather public input on the material presented. The meeting will begin with a brief presentation and then attendees can visit different stations to view various aspects of the plan ask questions and/or make comments.
