Aurora resident Justin Wazbinski, who is a junior marketing and supply chain management major at Ashland University, recently completed a summer internship.

He interned at ISCEA SCTECH in Beachwood under the supervision of Lalith Desilva. He is the son of Robert and Leslie Wazbinski and is a 2014 graduate of Aurora High.

International Supply Chain Education Alliance works within the manufacturing and service industries to provide knowledge and certification to business professionals involved in supply chain management.

The company holds workshops, conferences and expositions as platforms for their education and services.

Wazbinski's duties included developing social media marketing, calling or emailing potential participants in their program and serving as operations manager for an event that extended over three days.

"It improved my skills in social media, operations management and communication via the phone and email," Wazbinski said.

His major project was assisting in planning and executing the Supply Chain Technology Conference and Exposition.

When asked how Ashland University helped prepare him for the internship, Wazbinski said, "It prepared me for my internship by helping my understanding of language in the business world and also helping my understanding of how organizations are structured."

Wazbinski believes that the knowledge he gained from this internship will benefit him in the classroom with examples he can now apply and utilize for his future studies.

After graduation, Wazbinski plans to start his career and possibly pursue his MBA.
