Stow-Munroe Falls High School International Business Academy II senior, Megan Fragola, attended HOBY's (Hugh O'Brian Youth) Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA) from July 7-12 at Loyola University in Chicago. HOBY's ALA is a college-credit program through George Mason University.

HOBY is the world's leading youth leadership organization. It is an organization dedicated to providing lifelong leadership development opportunities that empower youth to achieve their highest potential and gain knowledge of many leadership skills.

During the conference students are given the opportunity to create a project plan to lead and implement a service project or social enterprise in their home communities within one year. Megan's project is to begin the creation of a non-profit that will raise awareness for volunteerism and promote global peace and human equality. Her project must be completed within one year of the conference. She is responsible for submitting monthly reports of her progress on her project.

Megan is the daughter of Jerry and Nina Harris of Stow and Francis Fragola of Long Island. For more information on life-changing student opportunities, visit To donate or support Megan's project, email her at
