Dominic Bruner, a senior in the International Business Academy II at Stow-Munroe Falls High School, attended The Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP-Ohio) hosted at the Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business for a week-long program for high school students interested in exploring careers in accounting and business.

The program was from June 12-17 with participants receiving free room and board, materials, tours and mentoring during the week of the program. ACAP-Ohio is presented by The Ohio Society of CPAs.

Students are introduced to accounting, finance, leadershipand management. Local CPAs and business leaders shared their experiences and provided tips for success. Students attended workshops, discussions, tours, mentoring sessions, business luncheons, and a college fair.

The program wrapped up with an all-star awards banquet for students, parents, speakers, and corporate sponsors where college scholarships and other awards were presented to attendees. Students attended ACAP-Ohio free of charge thanks to°generous°support from The Ohio CPA Foundation, The Ohio Society of CPAs, and other corporate sponsors.

During the week Dominic was awarded a $500 scholarship which can applied to any college program upon his graduation from high school. Dominic is the son of Keith Bruner of Stow and Lynn Bruner of Stow. For more information on Ohio's Accounting Career Awareness Program, visit
