Free child fingerprinting offered April 5

at American Elite in Tallmadge

Volunteers from GASP (Guardians Advocating Child Safety and Protection) provide free fingerprinting of children using digital EZ Child Identification systems.

GASP provides parents and guardians free computer discs containing a permanent ID file of the fingerprints, a photo and a video interview with the child.

GASP does not keep any of the data; all information is turned over to the parents/guardians. Parents also receive a safety package containing information and a DNA kit with instructions.

GASP will be at the following locations:

April 5 -- American Elite, 81 Northwest Ave., Tallmadge, 1 to 3 p.m.

April 12 -- Hudson Preschool Parents Children's Fair, East Woods School, 120 N. Hayden Pkwy., Hudson, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

April 15 -- Akron Metropolitan Housing School Readiness, Honey Locust and Maplewood, Cuyahoga Falls, 5 to 6:30 p.m.
