Preliminary site plan
for dental office OK’d
At its Jan. 15 meeting, the city’s planning commission approved a preliminary site plan for a proposed dental office building to be built for Dr. Aydin Cabi on the west side of Route 43, just south of Sycamore Drive.
The 5,260-square-foot building would occupy a 2-acre site, which is surrounded on the north and south by planned development commercial land and on the west by multi-family housing.
The preliminary plan was OK’d with the allowance of parking in the front of the building since it is along a major highway. It was noted a traffic study is required prior to consideration of the final site plan.
Since it was the first planning panel session of the year, Kathi Grandillo was elected chairwoman, while Ken Dombroski will be first vice chairman and Dennis Kennedy will be second vice chairman. Grandillo is City Council’s representative on the panel, replacing Joe Kastelic, who was defeated in November in his bid for re-election to Council.
