Westbound traffic on Interstate 480 near the Twinsburg and Macedonia border was interrupted for more than an hour this morning when two vehicles traveling westbound collided and ended up in the median.
There were no injuries reported.
The crash was first reported at 7:43 a.m. and was cleared by 8:55 a.m., according to officials from the Twinsburg Police Department, which handled traffic control of the incident. Traffic had returned to normal by 9 a.m.
Investigation of the accident is being handled by the Macedonia Police Department.
Macedonia Police Officer Chris Neal said police believe collision was caused by a driver merging into the left lane without looking, causing a nearby vehicle to swerve and hit the first car, sending both into the median. Neal said one vehicle was towed away and the other drove from the scene.
