Nordonia Hills Area residents are invited to audition for the 18th annual Knight of Stars Talent Extravaganza Feb. 26 and Feb. 27.

Auditions, which are closed to spectators, will be in the Nordonia High School auditorium from 6 to 8 p.m. both nights. The talent show is March 22 at 7 p.m. Proceeds go to the Nordonia Teen Institute, a student organization that promotes alcohol, tobacco and drug abstinence.

Teen Institute advisor Regina Christy said that a variety of acts are welcome, including singers, instrumental performers, dancers, magicians and jugglers.

We are open to any kind of appropriate act, appropriate to school, said Christy. We welcome anyone from the community, three-year-olds to adults, including retirees.

Those auditioning will be allowed to only audition once and due to time constraints, may not be able to perform their entire act at the audition. Participants should try, if possible, to audition Feb. 26.

Christy said that typically, 25 to 30 acts are selected for the show, which runs about three hours, including an intermission. No prizes are given.

Its just a night to showcase our wonderful local talent, she said.

For more information, call Christy week days from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 330-908-6124.
