Streetsboro -- The school district's junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams will have their home games at former Ravenna High School this year while the gym is being repaired after fire last summer.

The Board of Education approved Athletic Director Joe Timco's request Nov. 11 to contract with Ravenna schools to use the gym. Ravenna moved into its new high school in August.

According to the agreement, Streetsboro schools will rent the gym at a rate of $50 per hour and pay for custodial services and snow removal in parking lots.

Timco said the school district's insurance company will pay for the costs incurred from using the building.

Streetsboro school officials have said the gym at Streetsboro High School should be repaired by the middle of February.

Aurora High School will not play Streetsboro in boys or girls basketball during the regular season.
