Munroe Falls -- City Council unanimously passed a resolution June 19 allowing the city to enter into a five-year agreement with AT&T to provide high-speed Internet and cable service to the residents.

The city currently has a 10-year agreement with Time Warner Inc. for the company to provide cable and Internet service to the residents until 2008.

AT&T Senior Director of External Affairs Rob Reynolds said the company expects to have service in Munroe Falls activated sometime this summer.

AT&T currently provides phone and DSL Internet services to 97 percent of Munroe Falls residents, he said, but he is unsure what the extent of the cable and Internet service coverage would be.
