Student from Stow earns scholarship

Dan Halley of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy has been awarded a Faculty Scholarship from Bethel College for fall 2007.

The Bethel College academic scholarship program recognizes student academic achievement, leadership, community service and personal accomplishments.

The Faculty Scholarship award ranges from $2,500 to $3,500 and is renewable.

Halley, of Stow, plans to study Sport Management.

The Stow Sentry recognizes college students who achieve academic status via the dean's list, president's roll and honorary clubs. We do not print names of social fraternity pledges.

We also print the names of college graduates and those accepted into military schools.

All such news is sent to the newspaper from the college. We cannot accept news from parents or students without documentation from the college.

Parents or students who want news in the paper should check with the school.
