Introduction to Yoga
Come to the library for a one time, basic Introduction to Yoga class for beginners.
The free class will take place June 5 from 11 a.m. until noon. Space is limited.

Those who have a sticky mat should bring one, and everyone should wear comfortable clothing.
No jazz concert
There will be no Community Jazz Band concert on June 6. Instead, the band will play on the lawn June 28 at 11:30 p.m. for Pride in Your Library Day.
Teen volunteer orientation
The Children's Department at Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library needs teen volunteers to help with summer programming.
The volunteer program is for students who have finished sixth grade and older. Duties will include supervising games and activities, serving refreshments, setting up and taking down tables and chairs, craft material preparation and cleaning and straightening the children's areas. At the end of the summer, volunteers will receive a certificate for any service-hour credits. References can be given for future job applications.
To become a summer volunteer, attend an orientation June 7 at 4 p.m. or June 9 at 10:30 a.m.

Summer Bridge Club
Come to the library this summer for cards and conversation. The Summer Bridge Club will meet June 11, July 9, Aug. 13 and Sept. 10 from 12:45 until 3:30 p.m. in the Stow-Munroe Falls meeting room at the library.

Bridge Club is co-sponsored by Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library and the Stow Woman's Club.
The next Madden NFL XBox 360 tournament will take place June 16 from 10 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. for ages 10 to 18 only.
Registration will begin May 31 at the Teen Information Desk. Space is limited.
The grand prize will be a $50 Best Buy gift card and second prize will be a $25 Best Buy gift card.
Free pizza will be provided for players. This is a single elimination tournament with opponents randomly chosen. Players may play any regular season team of their choice. Rules will be available at the Teen Information Desk.

Rock Star School
Those who have wanted to learn to play in a rock band can sign up for Rock Star School during the week of June 11 to 16.
Signups take place at the Adult Information Desk. Stop in or call 330-688-3295. The program is for those ages 11 through adult.
Rockers will be grouped into bands and then attend six practice sessions at Sound Board Music in Stow. Through instruction by professional music teachers, participants will lean to play songs together as a band and then give a concert at the library Aug. 10.

group for teens
Teens ages 12 to 18 can join the new Fantasy Book Discussion Group starting June 18, when "The Warrior Heir," by Cinda Williams Chima, will be discussed starting at 7 p.m.
From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Chima will be at the library to meet readers. She will answer questions about "The Warrior Heir" and its sequel, "The Wizard Heir," and sign autographs. Her books will be on sale during the program.

Multiple copies of "The Warrior Heir" will be available for checkout at the Teen Information Desk at the beginning of June.
Children ages 3 to 6 accompanied by a parent or caregiver can come to the library for a different surprise program each week Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. The program runs from June 19 through July 24. Activities will include music, storytelling, crafts and much more fun.
Take a look at clues that will be posted each Wednesday, solve the mystery and guess the activity that will happen the following week.
Space may be limited. Arrive by 10 a.m. to pick up a special Spike the Turtle Pass to attend the program. Advanced registration is not required.
Donations of books, especially paperbacks, and other materials are needed for the Friends of Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library mini book sale, which will take place during Pride in Your Library Day June 28 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Donations may be brought to the front check out desk during regular library hours.
