Rehearsals for the Heart of Ohio women's a cappella show chorus take place Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at the Twin Falls United Methodist Church.
The barbershop chorus, which is led by master director David Wallace, is looking for women of all ages in the greater Akron area who want to have fun singing and performing in a four-part harmony a cappella chorus.

Martin B-26 Society
The Martin B-26 Society meets the third Thursday of every month at noon, at the University of Akron Martin Center, located on Fir Street in Akron.
Due to the high rate of passing of World War II veterans, the group has been opened to all who are interested in aviation and military affairs.

The Stow Blanketeers meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, excluding July.
The 30 or so ladies who make up the Stow Blanketeers is in need of community support. The group is asking for donated yarn or cash donations for the purchase of material.
The Stow Blanketeers knitted and crocheted a total of 125 blankets during the 2006 year, which were donated to local shelters.
