The city's annual Memorial Day ceremony and parade will start May 28 at 10 a.m. The American Legion Post will kick off the festivities with a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at Breezy Point Park.
The parade will begin shortly after the ceremony and head east on Route 82, south on Route 306 and northwest on Route 43, ending at the main cemetery.
The VFW will conduct its Memorial Day ritual, with Mayor Lynn McGill reading the names of deceased veterans buried in the cemetery.
The parade itself will feature Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Aurora High School's marching band and Aurora VFW Post 2629's color guard.
