The Stow-Munroe Falls School District Monday night approved $650,000 worth of cuts to its operating budget that will result in some staff layoffs.

The cuts come in response to the failure of Issue 10 May 8. Superintendent Dr. Russell Jones said the 4.17-mill, five-year operating levy would have generated approximately $3.9 million annually and prevented the cuts.
