The Junior Women's Civic Club invites all golfers to play in the 22nd Annual Charity Golf Classic on June 25 at Silver Lake Country Club.Co-sponsoring the event is JWCC, KeyBank, Akron Children's Hospital and McDonald's of Greater Akron.Profits from the golf outing go to the Ronald McDonald House of Akron to support its services and to Junior Women's Civic Club Charities for community outreach. The RMHA provides a home for many families of critically ill children who are patients at Akron Children's Hospital. To date, the Charity Golf Classic has raised more than $500,000 for RMHA.The fee of $275 per golfer includes golf, golf cart, lunch, promotional items, and an evening dinner, auction and prize money.Foursomes will be accepted for the morning round, with registration at 6:45 a.m. and tee off at 7:30 a.m. Foursomes will also be accepted for the afternoon round, with registration at 11:15 a.m. and tee off at 1:15 p.m.Co-Chairmen of this year's Charity Golf Outing are Cindy Farver of Wadsworth and Angie Matesevac of Akron, both JWCC members, For an invitation or more information, call Farver at 330-336-7015 or Matesevac at 330-670-9708.The Junior Women's Civic Club of Akron has provided volunteer services and donated major contributions to the Akron community for 60 years. Thomas Center for Performing Arts, The American Cancer Society, Battered Women's Shelter, Camp Quality, Interval Brotherhood Home, Coming Together Akron, The ARC of Summit/Portage County, Salvation Army and Summit County Children Services.
