ORRVILLE — Chuchu Xu and Joseph Besancon were united in marriage Sept. 22 in St. Agnes Catholic Church by the Rev. Ronald Turek.

The bride is the daughter of Hulin Xu and Xiangmin Chu of Shanghai, China and was given in marriage by her father. The groom is the son of Jeff Besancon of Orrville and Trish Lindner of Columbus.

Maid of honor was Xiaolu Zhang and bridesmaids were Sarah Besancon, Britteny Besancon, Isabella Lindner, Lingyi Kong and Aylin Aksoy. Flower girls were Abigail Siegley, Claire Seigley and Dixie Seigley.

The groom’s attendants were best man Chad Harrison and groomsmen Jacob Bolyard, Dillon Corbett, Alex Brown, Dylen Lemon and Cody Siefret. Ringbearer was the groom’s nephew, Cole Cecil.

A reception followed at The Pines, Orrville.

Following a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Shanghai, China.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Kent State University. She is employed at the Australian Consulate General in Shanghai as a visa officer.

The groom is a 2010 Orrville High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He is an English teacher.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the Smithville Inn.

An additional ceremony will be held Oct. 27 in Shanghai, China.
