WOOSTER — Paul and Sherrie Woodruff, 5106 Springville Road, Wooster, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Hawaii. A July get-together is planned for family and friends.

Paul Woodruff and Sherrie Redinger were marred April 20, 1968 in the Federated Church of Holmesville.

They are the parents of Wendi Messner of Wooster, Kimberly and Justin Smith of Temecula, Calif. and Michael and Jessica Woodruff of Arlington, Ohio. They have nine grandchildren.

Both Paul and Sherrie graduated from Waynedale High School in 1965. Paul graduated from the Wooster Business College in 1967 and was drafted into the Army and served in Korea in the 2nd Infantry. He worked at Akron Brass for 47 years before retiring in February of 2014.

Sherrie was employed by Red Head Oil Co. and then worked for Bank One in Wooster. She later worked at the Wooster Eye Center until she retired in February of 2014.

The couple love to travel, visit wineries and enjoy spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren. Mr. Woodruff loves his game of golf and Mrs. Woodruff likes being in her flower beds, and reading novels.
