The Aurora Blossom Friends of the Cleveland Orchestra is one of six chapters in Northeast Ohio that has as its mission to financially support and promote the Cleveland Or-chestra at its summer home at Blossom Center.

The largest chapter with 71 active members, ABFCO enjoys social gatherings like Champagne and Chocolates, scheduled for Sept. 17, and Gourmet Matinees on Aug. 1 and 24 at Blossom Music Center.

Aurora Chamber of Commerce's monthly networking luncheon will be July 19 at 11:30 a.m. at ThornCreek Winery and Gardens.

Travel tips will be given by representatives from Iguana Travel Service and the Travel Connection. Cost is $25 per people, with preregistration required.

A party on the patio will be July 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cabin Restaurant at Mario's. Future parties will be Aug. 10 at HoneyBaked Ham in Streetsboro, Aug. 17 at the Mattress Warehouse in the Marketplace at Four Corners and Sept. 12 at the Aurora Inn and Event Center.

The Aurora Drive-It-Yourself Tour will be July 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local residents can visit various local businesses.

The Chamber's annual golf outing took place JUne 15 at Boulder Creek in Streetsboro, with beautiful weather prevailing. The Chamber thanks all participants and sponsors for supporting Chamber scholarships to graduating Aurora High seniors.


The Rotary Club of Aurora meets weekly at 7:30 a.m. at the Aurora Inn and Event Center. Guests are welcome for a complimentary breakfast to see what Rotary is all about. Karen Bordonaro is the new president.
