Why don't hydrangeas bloom? Should they be cut back in the fall? And when to fertilize -- spring, summer or fall?

The Twinsburg Garden Club and a local master gardener will help answer these questions July 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Christ the King Lutheran Church, 10285 Ravenna Road.

A Power Point from Casey Judd, a Geauga County Master Gardener since 2005, will cover the joys and problems encountered with hydrangeas, outlining hydrangea hybrids that are currently available and the unique cultural requirements and difficulties present in Ohio's Zone 5.

Additional information about pruning and plant selection will be included. Judd, who has tended her own gardens since 1956. hopes to enhance and promote spectacular bloom and healthy hydrangea plants. Hydrangea primers and handouts will be available.
