The Women's Council for Hiram College will sponsor its annual A Day in the Country on June 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is a Hiram College scholarship benefit function.

The sale of antiques and collectibles, plants, jewelry, books and attick reasrues, plus a Chinese auction, will occur in the Martin Fieldhouse on Route 305, just each of the intersection of Routes 82, 700 sand 305.

Admission is free, and there will be as coffee break area. A catered buffet lunch at noon costs $16.

Reservations are due by May 31 to Janet West, 12786 Route 700. Make checks out to Women's Council. Make sure the reservation states guest names and with whom you wish to sit (eight at a table).

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce's annual golf outing is coming up June 15 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Streetsboro. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.

The cost of $125 per golfer includes greens fee, a cart, beverages, premium gift bag, one mulligan per foursome, hole-in-one and closest to the pin contests and first through third place prizes.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Chamber's scholarship fund.
