TWINSBURG -- The Twinsburg Garden Club will host Linda Coleman, owner of Olive My Heart in Hudson, at the club's April 6 meeting.

Coleman will share her expertise about the "liquid gold" that is olive oil. Starting with factors that lead to olive oils with superior taste and healthful qualities, Coleman will discuss procurement of the freshest, highest quality oils and the chemical composition of those oils.

Her buyers across several countries ensure that the oils are fresh year round. While consumers may not consider the chemical composition of olive oils, Coleman knows that the best oils have just the right amount of free fatty acids and peroxide, of which there should be a little as possible; and oleic acid and polyphenols, which should be abundant. Listeners can refine their knowledge to inform choices in olive oils that best suit their needs.

Complementing the olive oils, Olive My Heart also carries organic, aged balsamic vinegars from Modena, Italy, home of an historic tradition of perfecting this unique vinegar.

The Twinsburg Garden Club welcomes visitors to attend this interesting and informative program.
