Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Lenten services
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hudson, Ohio announces its Lenten Services and Soup Suppers.
For the first time, they will offer noon services during Lent, as well as the 7 p.m. services.
All services will be in the Sanctuary.
The Rev. Dr. Eric Tritten will preach on the following topics during both Lenten services:
The series is entitled Places of the Passion:
March 29 - The Courtyard: A Place of Renewal
April 5 - The Trial: A Place of God's Will
April 13 - Maundy Thursday - The Last Supper: A Place of Forgiveness
April 14 - Good Friday - Golgotha: A Place of Simple Love
April 16 - Easter Sunrise - The Empty Tomb: A Place of Remember (with Holy Communion)
At 6 p.m., before the 7 p.m. services, the church will provide a soup supper.
Gloria Dei Lutheran hopes people will be able to come to any of these services and the soup suppers.

Talk on finding Jesus March 30
Bible teacher Kinney deHamel will speak on the topic "I Love to Tell the Story" at Hope Lutheran Church on March 30 at 7 p.m.
The free presentation will include encouraging stories of people finding Jesus and inspiring ways to help the hurting and seeking people in one's own life. Refreshments will be served.
Kinney DeHamel has been a teacher for nearly 30 years. She became a Christian while trying to prove that the Bible is false. Since then, she has had a heart for the hurting and those who seek truth and meaning for their lives, and has had many experiences teaching prayer, evangelism and spiritual growth in venues as diverse as children's Sunday School and prison ministry.
This program is sponsored by the Women of Hope. Hope Lutheran Church is located at 456 S Chillicothe Road in Aurora.
Events planned for Temple Beth Shalom's Tots Around Town
HUDSON -- Temple Beth Shalom announces the 2016-17 schedule for its community-based program for families with pre-school aged children, "TBS Tots Around Town."
TBS Tots Around Town is a playgroup-style series of gatherings for all kinds of families with Jewish children ages 5 and under at various locations in and around Hudson.
Each session consists of fun themed activities, as well as snacks, socializing, and story time with PJ Library.
There are several events scheduled for the 2016-17 school year:
April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. - "Spring Discoveries" at Liberty Nature Center, Twinsburg
June 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. - "Shavuot Park Day" at Hudson Springs Park, Hudson
There is no fee to attend any of these events, and membership in Temple Beth Shalom is not required. However, pre-registration is necessary (RSVP deadline is the Friday before each event), and some programs have limited enrollment.
