Anyone passing by Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on the evening Feb. 25 may have noticed the lights on for Mardi Gras Night in the church's social hall.
More than 80 guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and dinner provided by Robesto's Catering and had the opportunity to dance away any calories thanks to the music provided by Hit Parade DJ Service.
The Mardi Gras was just one more social event to mark the 50th Anniversary Year of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.
With decorations that conjured up images of New Orleans and the traditional Mardi Gras spirit, those attending were also treated to a chance to be the winner of a "Bourbon Street" lamp post covered in donated gift cards to area businesses and restaurants.
By the end of the evening, everyone attending left with smiles and memories of a joyful Pre-Lent good time.
