Our Lady of Guadalupe will host Mike Aquilina's presentation, "The Sacrament of Mercy: Lessons on Confession for Today from the Early Church," March 6 from 7:15 to 9 p.m. in the church following the 6:30 p.m. Mass.

The presentation explores the origins of the Sacrament of Reconciliation (or Confession) with a renowned expert of the early Church who will then apply what we know of this ancient practice to our experience today. This is an excellent way to begin Lent and prepare for Easter.

There will be a question-and-answer period toward the end of the program. Also, there will be an opportunity to purchase signed copies of many of Aquilina's books, including Seven Revolutions: How Christianity Changed the World and Can Change It Again, along with a number of his other titles, before and after the presentation.

Aquilina is executive vice-president of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. He is author or editor of more than 40 books and an EWTN personality.
